I started at UWE during the summer of 2021 as a senior lecturer in physiotherapy; prior to this, I worked locally as a First Contact Practitioner in a GP practice and as a Senior MSK Physiotherapist in an NHS Trust. Since qualifying in 2007 I have enjoyed a varied physio career with various roles in London, across the Southwest of England and South Wales. While most of my work has been in musculoskeletal roles, a significant proportion was within inpatient and community settings, which was really helpful during the height of the pandemic when I was seconded to a complex care team supporting patients on COVID wards. Before becoming a physio, I did a degree in Sports Science. Following this I worked in London in learning and physical disability and mental health services in many different roles, from Activity Coordinator to House Manager and Service Manager.
