This is an advanced course for CPD of physiotherapist/ clinician who is specializing in physical and occupational therapist in acute, sub acute and/ or home care post acuity requiring knowledge in COPD rehabilitation.
COPD pathophysiology, incidence rate, diagnostic procedures, medical treatment, pulmonary system properties assessment, COPD risks, and proper diagnostic methods of early diagnosis are presented in the frameworks of the program for the CPD course bundle part 1.
The second part of CPD course focuses on the more specific assessment tools used by PT/OT, PT/OT prescriptions and effective interventions for the COPD population. It emphasizes the importance of prescribing the right kinds of treatment regimes to minimize the relapses as well as to improve the welfare of the patients and move towards more value based care.
